HONDA / INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN
Load Up. Move Out.
Creative Direction · Art Direction · Integrated Campaign · Digital · Social
Honda’s military offer needed a campaign that understood the families behind the uniform. I helped develop the art direction for “Load Up. Move Out.,” connecting the Odyssey’s everyday practicality with the rhythms of military family life. That direction carried through video, social, display, and email, balancing humor with a clear offer.
01 / LISTENING
Start with who actually makes the decision.
Research revealed an important distinction: military spouses weren't simply part of the audience. They were often the primary household shoppers and a major influence on vehicle purchase decisions.
That shifted the creative brief. Rather than speak broadly to service members, we could build around the everyday realities of the people keeping military families moving.
02 / CREATIVE PLATFORM
Military life has its own choreography.
Moves. Deployments. Training. Packing. Unpacking. Starting again.
Load Up. Move Out. turned those familiar rhythms into a flexible campaign idea, pairing the practicality of the Odyssey with moments military families could recognize from their own lives.
Humor gave the work personality without losing sight of the people behind it.
03 / CAMPAIGN
Making the most of a few seconds.
Short-form video and social brought the idea into quick, recognizable moments: folding seats, loading up, and getting everyone on the move. Some executions leaned into humor; others put the military offer up front. Each gave the audience a focused message in the time available.
04 / EXTENSION
Recognition without repetition.
As the campaign extended into display and email, the military offer took priority. The layouts brought the $500 savings, vehicle, and call to action into focus, adjusting their scale and arrangement to suit each format. Honda’s blue, the family imagery, and the campaign line kept the work connected.
