Commissioned artwork for AFG Headquarters
Commissioned to create three paintings for the home offices of Accent Fairchild Group. Acrylic on stretched canvas paintings are 30 x 40 inches each, focusing on each segment of the company's home goods product lines in their Montreal, Toronto, Prince Edward Island hubs.
Along the way to realize these images, the client and I had many conversations about what they needed to include from the product side and convey to the viewer. That would include researching the three primary locations where each office was located and identifying local landmarks to include in each image. At the same time, the idea was to create scenes that collage those landmarks with the best matches of the many products unique to each arm of the company’s offerings specific to those three offices.
Montreal: Research / prep work and initial sketch for approval to move to physical artwork stage.
At each stage of the process, I would send over an image updating the client on the progress of the work. This allows the client to make notes or comment, avoiding last minute changes.
Once the concept is well established and the client is approving of the direction and feels confident, I can hit that final stride and shape out the colors, contrast shading and details.
